REFUND APPLICATION/ REFUND INQUIRY

This function is applicable only to online transactions from EVA Air official website, App, transactions paid by credit card or certain third party payments (note) from reservation and ticketing center, including flight ticket and ancillary service. Passengers who wish to apply for flight ticket refund, please input the ticket number. Passengers who wish to apply for ancillary services refund, such as excess baggage fee, please input the electronic miscellaneous document(EMD) number.

Note: the ticket number starts with 69524, and the electronic miscellaneous document (EMD) number for prepaid baggage or other ancillary services start with 69545.

  • To safeguard your rights and interests, refunds applied through the website will only be made to the credit card or bank account originally used for the purchase. After submitting the refund application, when you have the information of original payment amended on the issue of credit card lost or eliminated and so on, please contact your credit card issuing banks for further assistance.
  • For Award tickets refund, please contact EVA local ticketing offices for assistance. This system does not support Award tickets refund.
  • For tickets purchased from the travel agent, please contact your travel agent to arrange a refund.
  • The system will calculate the refund amount and credit to the account respectively that paid for each ticket. If the total refund value exceeded the amount paid on the original ticket; the balance will refund to the next account listed.
  • For itinerary to/from USA: A no-penalty 100% refund will be given if the refund application is made within 24 hours of purchase and if the ticket purchase was made at least one week (168 hours) prior to the first flight departure.
  • If there is any refund value after the value of used portions and refund fee/No Show fee/Booking Service Charge deducted, we'll process your refund back to the original credit card within 7 working days (it should appear on your statement in 1-2 billing cycles). For cash and check purchases, we’ll process your refund within 20 working days after receiving a complete refund request.
  • Refunds for cancellation of unused segments will be calculated with the value of the used segments deducted, rather than half of the original ticket value (Booking Service Charge is non-refundable). It is possible that only the airport tax is refundable after calculation; if so, no refund handling fee and No-Show fee will be charged. This also applies to non-refundable tickets.
  • Refunds for tickets purchased partially or entirely with miles: Completely unused tickets will be refunded in cash for the portion of the tickets purchased with cash, plus taxes and miles will be returned to the account holder who made the booking if that mileage is still valid on the application date for the refund. Partially used ticket will be refunded in cash for unused flight segments and taxes, but mileage cannot be refunded.
  • The upgrade via EVABidDeal is only valid on the date and the flight shown on the ticket. It is non-exchangeable and non-refundable once successful (please refer to FAQ).
