  • Reservation for Award Upgrade can be made from 3-7 hours (depends on routes) to 360 days before departure.

  • The system is unavailable for the following passengers:
    1. Passengers requiring assistance (such as those with medical conditions).
    2. Passengers under the age of 12 who are traveling unaccompanied. (UM, Unaccompanied Minor).
    3. Passengers traveling with infant(s).
    4. Group travel passengers, bookings of 10 or more passengers in one single booking reference.
    5. Passengers traveling in P/V/W/G/X/N/E/U/A/O/S booking class code.
    6. The booking includes additional service payments, such as pre-purchased baggage, chargeable seat, etc.
    7. The booking includes upgraded seats via EVABidDeal.
  • The system is not available to passengers traveling on charter flights, unscheduled flights and code-sharing flights operated by other airlines.
  • Please be noticed that if you reserve the Award Upgrade within 24 hours prior to flight departure, your original special meal requirement will be re-arranged on required basis without confirmed.
  • Y,B,M,H,Q (Economy) tickets are eligible for an upgrade award to Royal Laurel/Super Business/Premium Laurel by deducting miles(Upgrade Certificate are limited to the next higher class only . Successive class upgrade is not allowed).
  • The ticket holder is responsible for all taxes and surcharges for an upgrade award.
  • System will auto cancel waiting segments 36 hours prior to departure for long haul, and 28 hours prior to departure for short haul. If you still prefer to waitlist for upgrade after previous mentioned time, please rebook waiting itineraries.
  • Any special requests for the new itinerary must be requested again (e.g. seat selection/special meals/wheelchair…). Please make use of the website's Manage Your Trip service or contact EVA Air's booking staff for assistance. Certain special services are not guaranteed for modifications made within 24 hours before departure.
